Sustainability through Refurbishment and Reuse
At Spierings, we believe that true innovation is not only about developing new technologies, but also about responsibly managing what we already have. Our Mission to Zero-Emission goes beyond building electric cranes: it is a comprehensive vision for sustainability, aiming to minimize environmental impact throughout every phase of a machine’s lifecycle.
An important part of this vision is our refurbishment and reuse strategy—extending the lifespan of existing cranes as well as their components.

We transform used cranes into new life cranes
Every Spierings crane is built to last for generations. Thanks to high quality materials, proper engineering and thoughtful design, our cranes remain reliable for many years. When a crane completes its first lifecycle, its story does not end. It begins again.
At our own factory in Oss, used cranes are fully refurbished, certified and technically upgraded. Components are carefully assessed, replaced or refurbished where necessary, and the entire crane is tested according to strict quality standards.
This gives an existing crane a second life, without the environmental impact of full new production.

Sustainability Is in Our DNA
Refurbishment is more than maintenance. It is a conscious choice for circularity. By reusing parts and materials, we reduce:
• Raw material consumption: less steel production and fewer energy intensive processes
• Waste production: components that meet our strict standards are given a second life instead of being discarded

The Power of Circular and Sustainable Business
Where others use sustainability as a buzzword, at Spierings it is a proven approach. Every used crane leaving our factory is not only technically certified, but also sustainably responsible. By reusing components and modernizing machines, we make our technology more accessible and environmentally conscious, without compromise.
Our customers benefit from:
• A fully refurbished machine with factory warranty
• Lower CO₂ impact per project
• An investment in circular construction and responsible business practices
